Malta Blockchain Awards Names OKEx “Crypto Exchange of the Year”
During the recently held Malta Blockchain Summit’s Blockchain Awards, the second largest crypto exchange was deemed the “Crypto Exchange of the Year.”
The award was decided by 32 industry pioneers and executives with expertise in the blockchain Industry. Three exchanges were nominated as finalists in the category of Crypto Exchange of the Year. OKEx clearly differentiated themselves from the other finalist Binance and BitBay.
Andy Cheung, OKEx's Head of Operations was humbled by the award and said:
“These awards are particularly gratifying as they reflect a vote of confidence from industry leaders, who recognize our ongoing efforts. As we said, we dare to innovate and will keep pushing the limits of what is possible.”
Andy also highlighted that he takes the leadership role in the industry pretty seriously. He says that this award motivates the team to work harder.
“Receiving this honor is truly a testament to our unrelenting effort in making changes in the crypto and blockchain industry. We never stop innovating to create the best user experience, to build a robust ecosystem, to improve the crypto industry, and above all, to revolutionize our world with blockchain technology. Malta has pretty much become the blockchain capital of the world. Their president is such a big fan of the technology both crypto and blockchain technology that he went as far as addressing their potential at the UN General Assembly.
OKEx has the second highest 24 hour volume which is close to $493 million. Bitcoin alone takes up almost 20% of the trading volume on the index. Their digital trading services comprise of token trading, futures trading, and an all-important index tracker. The exchange currently offers more than 400 tokens and futures trading pair.
