NIX has finally released the beta version of Off-Chain Governance. Their wallet version 2.3.0.5 is now released which allows all users to participate in NIX’s Off-Chain Governance Beta testing! Off-Chain Governance will let users be able to hand proposals to the NIX ecosystem. These proposals will be displayed on the proposals page.

Recently PIVX tweeted out that:

A new core wallet will be released soon that will harden the security of our PoS network. It is recommended for everyone to upgrade asap once released. This will help to prepare our
network for the upcoming major wallet release!

Bitfinex Faces Legal Action From NY Attorney General: Here’s What This Means

The New York Office of the Attorney General (AG) wants to take a closer look into the business operations of Bitfinex and related stablecoin issuer Tether (USDT). According to a legal petition filed with the Supreme Court of New York, the NY Attorney General Office of Letitia James is applying for a court order to investigate Bitfinex’s suite of interrelated companies (including its umbrella firm iFinex and Tether Holdings Limited) for “ongoing fraud” to the tune of $850 million.

Out of Testnet and Into Alpha: Lightning Labs’ Desktop Application Is Live

Lightning Labs just released an alpha version of its Lightning Network wallet. The desktop application is now compatible with Bitcoin’s mainnet and it leverages Neutrino (the protocol, not the analytics company acquired by Coinbase) to give users a lightweight option to “control their own funds,” as opposed to running a full node or trusting a third party to play custodian.

Electrum Bitcoin wallet users have lost 771 BTC (approximately $4 million) since late December 2018, in an ongoing series of targeted phishing attacks.
