You have probably already heard that Craig Wright, a strong Bitcoin Cash Satoshi Vision (SV) evangelist, has affirmed that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. Now, the CEO of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver, has affirmed that he does not believe that Wright is, in fact, Satoshi Nakamoto.
Ver has recently appeared in a video with the lawyer Daniel Kelman. In the video, he discussed Bitcoin Cash after the hard fork and he did not talk very positively about Wright and Calvin Ayre, the main names behind Bitcoin SV.
He also pointed out that the difficulty of Bitcoin Cash ABC is higher than Bitcoin Cash SV, which might mean that, in fact, this is the most popular version as the difficulty changes over time and if there are more miners, it will be raised. At the moment, the difficulty at Bitcoin ABC is 53% higher than the other token.
Ver has addressed the fact that many people are mad at Bitcoin Cash for “making the market lose value”, as prices plummeted because of the hard fork of the 4th largest token by market cap.
However, he said that “people should be angry at fiat currencies which are used to manipulate people all over the world”, which pretty much takes BCH out of the target.
Finally, he has also affirmed that Bitcoin Cash will probably be ABC. Some exchanges have already decided to support Bitcoin Cash ABC as the real BCH and this means that SV will lose power. He has affirmed that he will probably sell his BCH SV assets in due time.
No Longer A Wright BelieverThe most important part of the interview was that Ver affirmed that he does not believe that Craig Wright is Satoshi, as he has claimed recently.
Also, he affirmed that, at this point, it simply does not matter anymore and that the only thing that this would accomplish would be to lower his opinion of Satoshi because he does not believe in Wright and disagrees with his violent approach. He cited Vitalik Buterin, the co-creator of Ethereum (ETH) network, to affirm that it simply does not matter.
According to Roger Ver, he is very skeptical that Craig played the role of Satoshi, but that it does not matter because Satoshi was all about decentralization, so who cares who he is? Also, he said that he could just sign something with the genesis block of Bitcoin if he wants to prove that he is himself.
Before, Ver claimed that he was open to the idea that Craig Wright could be Satoshi, but it looks like his opinion was recently changed, probably due to the behavior of the man. Other people who backed Wright have also affirmed that it was a mistake to do it.
