Multiple Crypto Exchanges Start Announcing Support for Tron’s BitTorrent Token (BTT) Airdrop

Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX announced today that it would support Tron’s BTT token airdrop event in February.

It became one of the many exchanges that announced their support for the event recently.

BTT or BitTorrent Token is the first token issue on the Tron blockchain as a TRC-10 token which is similar to Ethereum’s ERC-20 coins.

The BTT issue will help to bring over 100 million of its monthly users on BitTorrent to the Tron blockchain.

Wazirx’s Announcement

The crypto exchange wrote on its Medium page:

“Namaste Tribe! If you’re holding Tron (TRX) on WazirX, this news is for you. WazirX officially supports the upcoming BitTorrent (BTT) airdrop, and you can claim your BTT tokens on WazirX!”

The exchange will add the BTT tokens depending on the TRX holdings of the users.

Other prominent exchanges around the world have also announced their support for the event.

Among them are Gate.io and CoinTiger.

The BTT tokens will be available exclusively on Binance Launchpad on January 28th.

BTT is a one of its kind TRC-10 compatible token developed on the Tron blockchain which will be launched by the project.

The Tron Airdrop Schedule

The first of the airdrop events will be held on 11th February when TRON block height reaches 6.6 million. On this day, 10,890,000,000 BTT.

Following this, Tron will hold 6 more airdrops till 2025:

Between 11th March 2019 and 11th February 2020, it will give away 990,000,000 BTT each month. Between 11th March 2020 and 11th February 2021, it will give 1,072,500,000 BTT each month. Between 11th March 2021 and 11th February 2022, it will add 1,155,000,000 BTT each month. Between 11th March 2022 and 11th February 2023, it will add 1,237,500,000 BTT each month. Between 11th March 2023 and 11th February 2024, it will add 1,320,000,000 BTT each month. Between 11th March 2024 and 11th February 2025, it will add 1,402,500,000 BTT each month.
