It will now be possible to play real-time decentralized games on the Polygon blockchain following a partnership between Polygon and Autonomous Worlds, the company behind the Xaya blockchain gaming platform.
Integration of Xaya’s technology into Polygon will make it possible to build better blockchain games on the Polygon blockchain. Autonomous Worlds will also be developing in-house games for the Polygon blockchain. Currently, it is possible to play games like Taurion and Soccer Manager Elite, but the partnership will mean more games will be added to the Polygon network.
“Following the growth of DeFi and NFTs, we believe blockchain gaming will be the next big opportunity to take blockchain mass market. Our partnership with Polygon will only accelerate that trend,” said Xaya co-founder Andy Colosimo.
Players can expect unlimited gaming capabilitiesFirst, the fact that these games are built on the blockchain means users can create more secure accounts. Blockchain helps to secure accounts by using cryptographic encryption. Further, the integration of Xaya will provide players access to more blockchain games already built on Xaya. Also, players will be able to play real-time games that have instant settlement after winning.
There also will be no transaction limitations on gaming accounts. It will also reduce the cost of playing games due to reduced gas fees. High gas fees have driven out blockchain games out of Ethereum and other blockchains.
Besides, Xaya’s Game Channels technology is optimized for gaming and hence players can expect excellent quality games and an excellent playing experience.
“We’re certain the combination of Polygon’s high-performance blockchain and Xaya’s experience in the field of decentralized games will result in fascinating new experiences to further boost this quickly evolving sector,” said Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal in the press release announcing the new partnership.
