The Tron foundation is under pressure from its blockchain community after it came to light that Justin Sun may have voted as a Super Representative (SR) in two apps built on this network. These details were ‘confirmed’ after the Zion address which is linked to the TRX Genesis coins was traced to have been part of the significant vote in Tron-Bet and Tron-Ace.
To clarify, the Zion wallet received the initial 99 billion TRX from the genesis block during mainnet launch. It is not OK to use these tokens if the elections are supposed to be 100% community driven.https://t.co/Lnxo4PRGWo

According to the existing structures in Tron’s ecosystem, SR’s have the mandate to oversee block production and eventually earn rewards based on output. It, therefore, follows that the Tron foundation might be in violation of its community rules if indeed the Zion address represented its interests. Justin Sun, Tron’s founder, has however insisted in the past that neither himself nor the team at the Tron foundation would interfere with community voting.
The Tron Community Expresses DisappointmentCould this be a case of buying votes? If so the whole idea of DApps may be under threat given most parent blockchain platforms have the upper hand in network control. Tron for instance through its genesis coins used 310 and 200 million votes in Tron-Ace and Tron-Bet respectively;
Source: Tronscan.orgAs mentioned earlier, these developments have not been music to the Tron community. Some of the participants took to twitter their concerns; one went ahead to demand an explanation from Justin as to why the Zion account was involved in voting. The user further argued that this genesis account is being used to rig in SR’s affiliated to Tron’s founder. In addition to the two Zion accounts, a Poloniex SR was identified as a beneficiary of the ‘rigged’ voting.
Based on Justin Sun’s Tron documentation, the alleged SR voting through the Zion address is an outright violation of the community policy. However, this model seems to be less efficient when it comes to putting its parent, Tron Foundation, in check. An inside source at Tron has since revealed that they have the muscle to onboard around 20 SR’s and eventually start another Binance chain. As of press date, Binance controls 53% of the Tron network as an SR; this was earned after solved the staking problem for Tron’s clientele.
Justin Responds To the CriticismJustin responded on Twitter saying that they actually used the Zion address to vote in the 2 Super Reps because of three SR's have been lying dormant and have yet to upgrade their network to the latest version. So in order to prevent harm done to the network, he used the Genesis address instead of TRX which is against the bylaws. The 3 SRs have yet to respond to Justin or the Tron Foundation about upgrading.
