Tron and Ripple Communities Rise Up to Support Adoption of Respective Tokens Through Social Media
When it comes to having supportive and active communities, Tron and Ripple are at the top of their game. However, to push things a little further than usual, they have decided to push their power to a new level. The followers of these communities have been pushing for adoption, and they have seemed to create protocols that will allow any of them to send and receive TRX and XRP tokens in a new place – social media.
Tron’s platform, Seedit, makes it possible to use Twitter to send TRX, though the only catch is that they have to have a Twitter handle. Presently, Seedit is also compatible with Telegram. The community immediately jumped on board, setting up a campaign that they are calling #OperationTronStorm. The grassroots campaign has since been sent to multiple celebrities and other figures in the world, like the Pope, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kanye West. As a result of the faithful group, there has been about 18.5 million TRX processed through Seedit.
The XRP Tip Bot helps users to send XRP to each other, and is compatible with Twitter, Reddit, and Discord. However, the main difference is that no more than 5 XRP can be sent at a time. Even so, since it launched at the end of January, a total of 67,343 XRP has been sent through it.
