Cardano’s Yoroi Light Wallet Makes It To The Mainnet Launch
Charles Hoskinson, the creator of the Cardano (ADA) blockchain and co-founder of IOHK, has recently announced that Emurgo’s Yoroi wallet has been launched on the mainnet of Cardano. Yoroi is a recently launched light wallet made for Cardano.
During the announcement, Hoskinson has also talked that there may be a small gap of time between the test and the mainnet launch of Yoroi, so users might have to wait a bit.
Yoroi Wallet is an extension on Google Chrome that is also a hard fork of IOHK’s Icarus system. According to the site, the wallet is secure, simple and very fast. Future updates will have more languages and support for other browsers (it is only usable on Chrom right now). Other updates are hardware wallet integration, mobile apps and the ability to export information to Excel.
At the moment of this report, ADA was trading at $0.0849 per token and had a market cap of $2.2 billion USD and has been down 0.29% in the last 24 hours.
User Comments On The LaunchThe community has commented on the matter on Twitter and some people looked impatient with the mainnet launch of the wallet.
NostrADAmus, a Twitter user, was angry that he was up all night and the launch was botched by the company as the only saw a 404 Error Page on the site. Mikey Jr, another blockchain enthusiast, has responded that he thinks it is not fully launched yet as 24 hours have not passed.
