Bitget, a top-tier cryptocurrency exchange, and Web3 innovator held the “Pitch n Slay” event in Bangkok on November 15th as part of its unique Blockchain4Her initiative. The competition was designed to elevate female entrepreneurs in the blockchain arena, offering grants to the top three winners. Participants also had the chance to pitch to Foresight Ventures for a shot at seed funding.

Leveraging Bitget’s expansive $10 million Blockchain4Her initiative, this program is designed to empower women-led startups with the opportunity to access up to $100,000 in funding from Foresight Ventures, fostering innovation and growth in the blockchain space. The opportunity comes with invaluable guidance from seasoned experts in the space.

The event showcased the top 8 women-led startups handpicked from a competitive pool of over 50 applications. In the competitive landscape, Anne Beh, the visionary behind Art3mis, an Oracle AI Tarot card fortune-telling platform, claimed the third spot. Meanwhile, Doris Hernandez, Co-Founder of Functor Network, an Automatic Layer for AI agents, achieved an impressive second position. Julija Bainiaksina, the visionary Founder of MiniMe, has clinched the top prize with her innovative AI agent-a-service project.

Pitch n’ Slay showcased an impressive array of Web3 pioneers, with notable figures such as Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget; Cecilia Hsueh, Co-founder and CEO of Morph; Taya A, CEO of World of Women; Tess Hau, Founder of Tess Ventures; Min Xue, Partner at Foresight Ventures; and Agne Linge, Head of Growth at WeFi, taking the stage as speakers and judges. Participants will receive invaluable insights from these experts as they vie for $10,000 in grant funding, securing their spot in the final round of KillerWhales Season 3 and the Blockchain4Her Accelerator Program.

“Being a female entrepreneur is not everyone’s cup of tea. We’re first put against a patriarchal society and then into a men-dominated work culture. It takes everything to snap out of conventional thinking, making your own mark is difficult but not impossible,” said Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget. “With Blockchain4Her we plan to provide exposure and support to all those female founders that are building the next-gen blockchain evolution. As we move towards a new year, we are eagerly looking to provide more support and a platform to engage with broader Web3 audience,” she added.

The event showcased the Blockchain4Her Award Ceremony, honoring four exceptional female leaders from Southeast Asia. The Blockchain4Her SEA Awards showcased emerging female talent and groundbreaking entrepreneurs within the Web3 ecosystem. Innovative minds like Jenny Nguyen, Bea Llana, Theresa Tjandrawinata, and Cheryl Law have been recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to crypto. Meanwhile, Tascha Punyaneramitdee has clinched the prestigious “Innovative Web3 Female Entrepreneur Award – SEA edition.”

Partnering with industry leaders like Bitget Wallet, World of Women, Foresight Ventures, BeinCrypto, BlockchainReporter, Bitcoin.com News, Cointribune, Hello Labs, BlockBooster, SheFi, Input Communication, Women in Web3 CH, Crypto Girls Club, Pitch n’ Slay has demonstrated the immense potential of collaboration in forging inclusive pathways for women within the blockchain space.
