UTRUST, a cryptocurrency payments solution has announced that is collaborating with Ethereum Classic Development Team, in a deal that will see the firm integrate ETC into the UTRUST platform, with the aid of Ethereum Classic Corporative.

The recent collaboration between UTRUST and ETCDEV is coming at a time when the fortune of ETC is on a high, this is due to the recent integration of ETC by the world’s largest cryptocurrency brokerage, wallet and custodian, Coinbase.

The recent announcement by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the US that Bitcoin and Ethereum are non-securities cleared the Ethereum Classic from potentially being considered a security token.

The consequence of the decision by the SEC is that traders and merchants can accept ETC as an alternative to the traditional currency and the consumers can gladly use it without any fear of engaging in illegal acts.

Adding voice to thought, the CEO and Co-founder of UTRUST Nuno Correira stated that:

“Ethereum Classic is one of a select few cryptocurrencies , along with Bitcoin and Ethereum, with clear institutional demand’’

To state the domineering power of the Ethereum Classic in the market, the Grayscale investments earlier in the year launched Ethereum Classic investment trust, allowing major players like the retail traders and institutions invest in the Ethereum Classic in the United States.

The allocation of $90 million into Ethereum Classic by the firm signifies its confidence in the long term adoption rate of ETC, as a leading crypto in a highly competitive crypto market.

The CEO added that :

“While blockchain payments have undoubtedly disrupted financial transactions, at UTRUST we believe it’s our responsibility to add a much-needed layer of consumer protection, as well as instant transactions and low fees, for anyone who wants to utilise Ethereum Classic for payments’’ he concluded
