The ministry of community development (MOCD) of the UAE, has recently announced a roll out of Proof of Concept (PoC) by ProximaX. The move is aimed at contributing to UAE`s vision of being a blockchain enabled government in the near future. ProximaX in this venture has provided their Sirius blockchain platform solution. Further, ProximaX has partnered with NEM Foundation to provide this solution.

Consequently, ProximaX has brought to the table, their Sirius platform, completed MOCD`s voting module, and integrated the Apostille. ProximaX`s Sirius Platform is an integration of a work collaboration module, a distributed file management system, and an enterprise version of the NEM Catapult private chain solution. The platform will be a great asset to the department which will significantly improve its capabilities.

Since the department wishes to expand its blockchain initiatives, deployment of ProximaX Sirius platform will enable MOCD to continue adding more applications. Additionally, the platform can be made more effective by adding other key functionalities. These functionalities include messaging, streaming, permission solutions, and decentralized databases. The two organizations are committed to the task having completed the PoC in a very short time. The platform is also very flexible and can be used in other departments as well. In fact, the Sirius platform can be integrated with other departments allowing for interaction with other blockchain solutions.

According to Stephen Chia, a council member of the Nema.io Foundation and also the Head of SEA Operations, this partnership is a good example of the foundation`s commitment to providing solutions to its clients. He also promises that more adoptions of the NEM Catapult solution will be seen in the near future in industries. Also, that through this Memorandum of Understanding with MOCD, ProximaX has proven how easy it is to implement these solutions.

Mr. Saeed Abdulla works as the minister`s advisor at the MOCD and expresses his excitement in how the PoC was achieved in such a short time of two weeks. Further, he states that this will see the development of more solutions of the platform. He also adds that with the PoC, this contributes to the vision of being a blockchain enabled government.
