Integrations, partnerships and acquisitions are creating endless opportunities for the Tron community and the most recent announcement is no different. Tron has now partnered with LINE, the Japanese messaging giant, and will see TRX available on LINE’s cryptocurrency exchange called BitBox. Exposure to LINE’s 200 million user base overshadows the BitTorrent acquisition, which brought an active community of 100 million to Tron’s world.
Justin Sun Tweets About the PartnershipSun tweeted on August 15:
#TRON will be listed on @bitbox_official, a global crypto exchange by @LINE_Global that provides a trusted platform for traders to buy and sell leading, liquid digital currencies. BITBOX emphasizes user-experience and comprehensive support. #TRX $TRX pic.twitter.com/vezRFs7Ci3

His tweet was supported by a post on the company’s official Medium blog, where he was quoted as saying that he is looking forward to the partnership with LINE. Tron’s partnership isn’t just about getting TRX listed on BitBox. According to Sun, the crypto platform will help in providing LINE fast and secure exchange services and also extend their offerings to mobile. He also hopes for more product integrations in the future.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Sun also talked about Project Atlas, their ambitious collaboration with BitTorrent, which is designed to create a fairer Internet. The project will help in incentivizing and monetizing seeding of torrents and extend the lifespan of the torrent swarms.
Bitbox to Capture the Global Market for TronSingapore-based BitBox is LINE’s latest attempt to tap into the world of cryptocurrencies. It is operated by LINE Tech Plus, which works under LINE Corporation and LVC Corporation. The company is looking forward to dominating the fintech sector via digital coins.
LINE Tech Plus CEO Youngsu Ko said:
“Integrating TRON (TRX) with BITBOX will enable us to connect with the world’s fastest-growing blockchain project.”
He went on to praise Tron for its robust technology, coupled with BitTorrent’s 100 million users and technological strength.
Singapore has been a supportive state for blockchain and fintech innovation, as has LINE’s home country, Japan, despite some recent ‘rough patches’.
BitBox is currently available in 15 languages and has both desktop and mobile versions. Its trading services are available in several countries except for Japan, the United States and some restricted territories. BitBox doesn’t provide crypto to fiat services.
