It’s Official: Tron Surpasses Ethereum’s High Record For Transactions
In a tweet made out on Friday, November 9, 2018, Co-founder of IAmDecentralized.org, Misha Lederman, revealed the news that TRON has surpassed Ethereum’s [ETH] record of 1,349,890 transactions per second (achieved on January 4th, 2018), by approximately 18,000 transactions per second yesterday (precisely, 1,367,488 transactions per second).

As previously reported by Bitcoin Exchange Guide, in which Tron exceeded daily transactions that of Ethereum’s in October, the driving force then was the launch of several decentralized apps (DApps) along with platforms like TRONbet and TronDice. It seems like these two remain responsible for yet another month of milestones for TRON and November has only started.
As per Sludge Feed, who has also reported on this matter, the official launch of chrome wallet extension designated to the TRON Network, TronPay could have contributed to this success, as it was created with the intentions of limiting barriers to entry within the network.
CEO of Tron, Justin Sun has since retweeted Lederman’s statistics with the following tweet:

Many followers have since responded to Sun’s claim that Tron will never go back and that Ethereum might never be able to catch up. For the most part, it seems like followers are questioning Sun’s strategy. Here’s some interesting points that have since been made:
@Brad2pointO
“In all fairness, tough to compare the two with it comes to transactions. Ethereum is PoW, while Tron is DPoS. Tron SR’s reward all people who vote for them, which is a massive amount of transactions while Ethereum tx’s for mining is exponentially less. Apples and oranges.”
@deanocrypto
“Out dated tech vs new tech. Apples and oranges people.”
Overall, it seems like followers do not see why Sun is trying to surpass Ethereum when he could simply focus on newer platforms that house newer challenges.
As per CoinMarketCap, the TRX is currently valued at approximately USD$0.02294, which has been nearly the same as October and every other month prior to that.
What are your thoughts on this milestone? Is it reasonable to celebrate it given that nothing has changed for the TRX prices? Are followers right in saying that Sun has not challenged himself yet? Let us know in the comments below!
