Travala.com, a renowned crypto-friendly online travel agency, has teamed up with the XDC Network (XinFin) to add the XDC token as a payment option on its travel platform. The company revealed this news through a blog post on May 21, noting that this integration will let XDC holders pay for various services that Travala.com offers. These include more than 2.2 million hotels and homes, over 600 airlines, and more than 40,000 activities in over 230 countries.
According to the blog post, this move will allow XDC holders to take part in a travel economy that is cheap, fair, and inclusive. This will in turn increase the use cases of the XDC token, thus boosting its value. Through this integration, XDC joins other cryptocurrencies that are already available on the Travala.com platform. These include, but are not limited to, BTC, ETH, BNB, BCH, XRP, LTC, DOGE, and Travala.com’s native token, AVA.
Compared to other travel agencies, Travala.com offers savings of up to 40%. On top of this, the XinFin team will get access to Travala.com’s corporate account services, allowing the company to handle its internal travel requirements seamlessly.
Pushing for the mass adoption of cryptoExplaining why Travala.com decided to collaborate with XinFin, Juan Otero, the travel agency’s CEO said Travala.com is committed to fostering the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. As such, adding XDC to its list of accepted digital currencies helps the company inch closer to achieving this milestone by giving XDC a new use case.
Otero added that, the XinFin team has an impressive vision for its business, and that he has no doubt whatsoever that the project will soon make waves in the crypto space.
Following this news, the XDC/USD has gained 6.55% over the past 24 hours to change hands at $0.06473 (£0.045). The coin is currently the 100th-largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $794,028,243.00 (£557,876,303.25).
