Transmute Officially Launches Identity App

Transmute, a blockchain-based app for enterprise teams, has officially launched its identity app called Transmute ID.

Transmute announced a successful funding round back in January 2018 where they were able to secure $1 million from investors which would go into funding various research projects. The main focus of their firm will be Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Most of the customers targeted by Transmute are Fortune 1000 companies that have databases stretching into hundreds or even thousands of centralized applications. Transmute aims at bringing decentralization to such companies especially to help ease their target customers.

Having centralized data applications poses a great risk to data security since traditional directories don’t have adequate security systems. But with companies such as Transmute, big firms need not worry about data security since these companies will deploy Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

According to the CEO of Transmute, Karyl Fowler,

“The rise of DLT is inevitable, and the shift to decentralized applications is going to be as disruptive to the enterprise as the transition to cloud computing was. During the transition to cloud, we saw a massive demand for tools that bridged existing IT investments with the next wave of development. ‘’

Fowler continues to state that,

“Transmute, enterprise development teams can use their existing resources to build safer, superior decentralized applications while retaining the scalability of centralized cloud providers. It’s really the best of both worlds.”

The beauty about integrating Transmute into a firm’s identity management system is the fact that no system overhaul is necessary. Transmute uses the existing infrastructure to come up with decentralized applications for a particular company. Transmute’s framework is already compatible with various function languages and supports Javascript.

Therefore, developers don’t need to look for new tools so as to adopt the new Transmute system. More to that, all Transmute’s solutions are compatible with major cloud providers and have an open source structure.
