The new Head of the Global Institutional Markets welcomes Jamie Selway

We’re excited to welcome the latest addition to our institutional team, Jamie Selway as our Global Head of Institutional Markets.
Jamie is a widely respected expert on electronic trading and market structure and the former Head of Electronic Brokerage and Head of Execution Services at the global agency broker-dealer and trading technology firm Investment Technology Group (ITG).
Over the course of his 20 year career, Jamie has held a series of leadership roles at top financial institutions.
Prior to joining ITG, Jamie was Managing Director of White Cap Trading, an institutional agency brokerage that he co-founded in 2003.
“My entire career I’ve focused on improving markets and I’m thrilled to join Blockchain, which is one of the most established companies in the crypto industry, to do just that for digital assets,” said Jamie Selway, Global Head of Institutional Markets.

Bitwise Files With SEC for Cryptocurrency ETF

Bitwise Asset Management is the latest venture to apply for a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF). Called the Bitwise HOLD 10 Cryptocurrency Index Fund, the ETF will track the returns of the company’s HOLD 10 Index, a “market-cap-weighted index of the 10 largest cryptocurrencies” that captures roughly 80 percent of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization.

Swiss Stock Exchange Operator Plans to Launch Crypto Exchange

SIX, the firm that operates and owns the Swiss stock exchange, has announced plans to launch a fully regulated digital cryptocurrency exchange. The firm says it plans to launch "the first market infrastructure in the world” which will “offer a fully integrated end-to-end trading" while providing a safe environment where digital assets can be issued and existing securities and non-bankable assets can be tokenized.
