The IoT Community (Internet of Things Community), the world’s largest community of CxOs and IoT professionals and practitioners, announces Ripl Networks, the leader in IoT networking for Tiny-Edge Computing, will join its elite ecosystem. Ripl Networks will work with the community to address the outstanding technical and operational inhibitors that accompany the IoT, IIoT, and Intelligent Edge ecosystems. For their part, Ripl focuses on enabling Tiny-Edge computers to be native IP devices in the Enterprise IP WAN. According to Ripl, Tiny-Edge computers are battery powered microcontrollers often coupled with a host of camera and sensor technologies which are unlocking critical IoT designs.
At the December 11th IoT Grand Slam 2020 virtual event, Ripl Networks’ CEO Kerry Shih joins an elite lineup of IoT thought leaders and executives. He will present a keynote address titled “Tiny-Edge Computing Unlocks Wirefree IoT”, which will discuss Tiny-Edge Computing real-world cases and their challenges.
“The IoT Community believes in the future of Tiny-Edge Computing,” said Ripl Networks CEO Kerry Shih. “and Ripl is excited to join the conversation around how microcontrollers are best integrated and secured by enabling them to be first class IP edge devices.”
“We are delighted to welcome Ripl Networks to our IoT Community. Ripl is allowing the Enterprise to code, scale and manage IoT applications without any change to their IP-centric platforms, extending the ROI of their existing knowledge-base and IP infrastructure. This is the business model that Enterprises are seeking as we further embrace the pandemic-led, overnight digital transformation. Ripl’s insights to managing uptake at scale, will be key in community discussions.” said David Hill, Executive Director of the IoT Community.
Dr. Tom Bradicich, Hewlett Packard Fellow at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and IoT Community Advisory Board Chair says, “We are pleased Ripl has joined our IoT Community, and Kerry Shih will join our Center of Excellence program. We look forward to hearing their future vision for managing IoT devices at scale at our IoT Grand Slam 2020 event on December 11th.”
Also at the IoT Grand Slam, Shih will participate in a Security, Privacy and Trust in IoT Center of Excellence Panel, led by Dipto Chakravarty, Chairman of the SPTIoTCoE. The panel will explore core topics relating to eliminating Security & Operating Risks, deep diving into Zero trust architectures. Shih will discuss how Non-IP protocols introduce security risk, complexity and operating expense from running a separate type of data network just for IoT.
