Tesla CEO and CFO Officially Have New Titles: “Master of Coin” & “Technoking”

Electric carmaker Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk has a new title now, “Technoking,” while the company's Chief Financial Officer Zach Kirkhorn will now be known as “Master of Coin.”

These new titles were revealed in the company's filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday. The document reads,

“Effective as of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively.”

Both Elon and Zach will also maintain their respective CEO and CFO positions stated in the filing.

Musk is known for his antics and has had frequent conflicts with regulators at the SEC. He is also a supporter of Bitcoin and tweeted last week:

“BTC (Bitcoin) is an anagram of TBC(The Boring Company)… “Both do mining & use blocks & chains.”

Earlier this month, his company also invested $1.5 billion in the leading cryptocurrency that helped Bitcoin gain further attention from other corporations.

This increasing investment by institutional investors and corporations is the “financialization of bitcoin,” said Masafumi Yamamoto, chief currency strategist at Mizuho Securities. “It’s becoming an asset that investors can no longer ignore.”

The founder and CEO of SpaceX is particularly fond of Dogecoin (DOGE) and constantly tweets about the coin to his 49 million followers. A meme coin inspired by the Shiba Inu.

On the weekend, Musk made several tweets in reference to the coin, with one saying: “I’m getting a Shiba Inu #resistanceisfutile.”
