Ripple Rumor Resurfaces As Controversial Insider Predicts XRP Price To See $589 USD In 30 Days

2018-12-4 07:23

In any traditional market, it’s unthinkable for an asset to grow 1635x in 28 days. But this is crypto – and anything is possible. Such is the case this week, as one analyst is predicting that XRP will rise to $589 before the end of the year.

Earlier this year, Bearableguy123 made a prediction that XRP would reach a price of $589 by the end of the year. People make stupid predictions online all the time, and many ignored the user. Bearableguy123, however, insisted that he was a Ripple insider.

XRP, for those out of the loop, currently sits at around $0.35 after hovering around $0.50 for most of the year. Last January, XRP peaked at a price of $3.30 at the height of the crypto market before plummeting downward.

Could XRP really rise from $0.35 today to $589? Bearableguy123 appeared online with his prediction and then disappeared from the internet shortly thereafter. He posted a cryptic photo with the text, “$589+ EOY2018” and then did not post any further updates.

Is Bearableguy123 A Ripple Insider?

It’s easy to ignore most price predictions online. They’re made by random shills. Some believe, however, that Bearableguy123 is a Ripple insider because, as reported by AMB Crypto,

“he has provided multiple clues in a cryptic fashion.”

Ripple is the largest XRP holder in the world. The company also had a hand in creating XRP – although the company is trying to distance itself from XRP to prevent the digital token from being labeled as an illegal security.

The first clue that Bearableguy123 is a Ripple insider is his history of posts on Reddit. His previous posts have revealed him to be an ardent supporter of XRP and Ripple, defending the digital currency and the company at every opportunity.

One post from Bearableguy123, for example, stated the following:

“[In January] When XRP recently, to the dismay of the ETH and BTC heads, took over ETH’s place, the crypto world was shaken to the core. Plans were set in motion to have CoinMarketCap “suddenly” not recognize Korean exchanges and XRP was taken out. Plans, within plans, within plans. And this is just the beginning. This year is the year that XRP’s Ragnarok will shatter the cryptosphere into splinters and no one can do a damn thing about it.”

Clearly, he was bullish on the future of XRP. In response to a post about XRP possibly overtaking BTC in the future, Bearableguy123 had this to say:

“Yes, and the cryptosphere will shake accompanied by a great gnashing of teeth as they look to the heavens and scream “And how can this be?!”’

Clearly, this user is a bit of an odd duck. None of this, however, shows that he is an insider. Other clues, however, could indicate special insider knowledge.

Bearableguy123 is famous for his caricature-style images. One image for which he has become famous shows a castle with flags for XRP, BTC, and USD. The XRP flag is flying high above the world.

Meanwhile, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is seen as a knight in shining armor defending the castle. Bearableguy123 is pictured as a bear and the banks are seen as the puppet master orchestrating a sideshow.

Another sign that Bearableguy123 is an insider is that he is a moderator of a subreddit called Rippled. That subreddit has since become private.

One post in particular from Bearableguy123 on that subreddit captured the attention of the community:

“The king is not happy that the jester is having fun! Very interesting situations abound. A couple of soldiers and pawns are trying to draw me out, track me down and ID me but have not succeeded. Thank God for VPNs! Will lay low for now. Coming back? Maybe, maybe not.”

Bearableguy123 added that they were trying to dox him. The user’s last post was accompanied by a bitcoin-like price prediction for XRP:

“Ripple will never reach .01…” “Ripple will never reach $1…” “Ripple will never reach $10…” “Ripple will never reach $100…” Plans within plans continue to play out, and the proles still haven't figured it out. II.XIV.MMXVIII”

Those Roman numerals correspond to February 14, 2018. The date came and went. It’s unclear what the user meant by posting that date.

Will XRP Surge To $589 By December 31?

Ultimately, it’s unknown who Bearableguy123 is or was. It’s possible he was an online troll. Or, it’s possible he was an XRP insider.

It seems most likely, however, that Bearableguy123 was an XRP shill who made a crazy price prediction at the height of the crypto market. That price prediction has looked increasingly silly as the year has gone on.

Nevertheless, there’s still 28 days left in 2018 – and nobody knows where the price of XRP is headed.
