Report: Swiss City of Zug Named Fastest Growing Tech Hub in Europe

The city of Zug, home of the Swiss Crypto Valley, has been named the fastest growing technology community in Europe. Zug ranked atop the “State of European Tech” report by London-based global investment firm Atomico last week, on the strength of its year-on-year growth of attendees to tech-related meetup events.

Crypto Tax Payments Coming to the Swiss Canton of Zug

Switzerland’s crypto valley, Zug, is taking another step towards complete virtual currency adoption with plans to begin accepting tax payments in cryptocurrency. Several tax offices around the world have okayed citizens meeting their tax obligations using virtual tokens.

Major Swiss Insurer Adds Bitcoin and Ether Payments

Atupri, a Swiss health insurance provider, said Monday that its 200,000 customers will now be able to make payments using bitcoin and ethereum. The 110-year old firm claims it is the “first” insurer in Switzerland to accept cryptocurrencies.
