The British peer-to-peer platform Ramp Network now lets users from 36 European countries buy Bitcoin. BTC is the fourth cryptocurrency added to the platform, after ETH, DAI, and USDC.
Ramp Network Goes InternationalRamp Network offers highly competitive fees for crypto purchases, starting at 0.49% for SEPA transfers and upwards for other methods. For comparison, MyEtherWallet charges between 3.99% and 5.25%, while Changelly charges 9.1% for fiat to crypto purchases.
In regards to the industry-low fees, Ramp’s CEO, Szymon Sypniewicz, said:
“With the addition of Open Banking to our platform, it’s now especially easy for our customers to connect their bank account to buy with even lower fees. This is a really exciting time for us, as we begin to expand into new European countries and add new cryptocurrencies to our platform.”
Ramp Network supports Bitcoin purchases with Apple Pay, credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and open banking solutions. Over the following weeks, the firm is looking to expand its service to more countries.
As these companies compete to provide more value to their customers, the possibility of creating a “near-free” fiat-to-crypto bridge is no longer a pipe dream.
