Popular sportswear brand Puma joins forces with digital designer Wagmi-san to release a digital version of sneakers in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFT).

A feature of such shoes is the presence of an NFC chip that connects the physical and digital world. Thus, thanks to NFT, it will be possible to verify the authenticity of the sneakers. Puma collection will feature limited-edition models released specifically for holders of such collections as CryptoPunks, CrypToadz, Bored Ape Yacht Club and others. Registration of users for the sale ends on April 27, 2023 at 11 p.m. Pacific time.

Last year, it became known that Nike leads in terms of profit from sales of its own collectible tokens. The company earned $185 million, which became a world record.

In April, Nike released non-fungible tokens on the Swoosh platform for the first time. The theme of the new collection is Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
