Hyperledger is an open-source platform that promotes cross-industry blockchain growth and adoption. On Sept. 26, the collaborative platform added 14 new members to its growing community. The total number of members who have joined is now over 270, who work together to create open-source distributed ledger frameworks and tools.
New Business Models Enter HyperledgerExecutive Director at Hyperledger Brian Behlendorf commented on the additions and said that their community ranges from start-ups to industry leaders, academics and service providers. He added:
“We are gaining traction around the world in market segments from finance to healthcare and government to logistics. This growth and diversity is a signal of the increasing recognition of the strategic value of enterprise blockchain and commitment to the adoption and development of open source frameworks to drive new business models.”
Hyperledger is currently working on 10 business blockchains and distributed ledger technologies (DLTs). The multistakeholder, multi project effort helps various organizations in building industry-specific applications and provides enterprise-grade solutions to businesses.

BetaBlocks CTO Antonio Manueco said that they are proud to join Hyperledger and are thrilled to be working with seasoned people in the DLT space. He emphasized on the importance of supporting Hyperledger and the Linux Foundation to fuel the open-source community and build world-class software.
Senior Vice President of IT at FedEx Services Kevin Humphries said that blockchain’s use cases extend to logistics, transportation, and supply chain.
