Ontology and Spuul announced a new partnership through the deployment of Spokkz, an upcoming decentralized application (DApp) created by the movie platform, for which the Ontology platform will be providing network support.
Spuul’s New DApp Will Use Ontology InfrastructureOn August 13, Ontology, a multichain platform and distributed trust collaboration program, announced adding Spokkz DApp to its network, within the agreement they have made with Spuul.
In an official post on Twitter, Ontology announced the addition of decentralized application Spokkz to its network while presenting Spuul as a movie streaming platform with over 60 million users in Asia.
Spuul chose Ontology for the creation, utilization and deployment of its decentralized application. Meanwhile, it created an official Twitter page for Spokkz.
The Ontology team published an official statement on Medium, describing the agreement made between the Bollywood streaming platform and Ontology as an advanced method of tokenizing content.
Ontology Network to Tokenize Content Through Spokkz DAppIn its official statement, the Ontology team added that they are planning on going beyond simple tokenization of content by actually enabling Spuul users to connect with media producers through the utilization of Spokkz tokens. Spokkz will adopt ONT ID, Ontology’s distributed identity framework, for the users.
Regarding their partnership with Ontology, founder of Spokkz Subin Subaiah noted that working with ONT infrastructure brings new opportunities for them. Li Jun, founder of Ontology, expressed that they are pleased to work with Spuul.
Jun stated that the use cases of Ontology’s infrastructure are all connected to applicable business purposes. She added that Spokkz will create a decentralized product, allowing individuals to gain momentum in a centralized industry.
