Ontology partners with one of Japan’s largest health data companies, Genkicell
ChainOntology announces a strategic partnership with one of Japan’s largest health data company, Genkicell Chain to accelerate the launch of the Gen ID and Gen Scan features.
Through mutual co-operation the two companies will offer a customized application chain for its performance requirements and technical standards. This is expected to accelerate the implementation of the project and further build a decentralized health ecosystem.
The cooperation will however stretch beyond the ecosystem with the Ontology partnering Genkicell in industries and projects including, global industry resource sharing, Japan regional ecosystem construction, and joint promotion for an overall comprehensive and solid partnership.
The Ontology blockchain offers a distributed network of secure connections, integrating global and decentralized certification sources, connecting distributed digital systems with people, assets, objects, affairs, and other aspects of the real economy.
The latest Ontology partner–GenkiCell ChainGenkiCell Chain is one of the leading health data services in Japan offering its customers with quality data processing, data transfer, storage, and security. The company recently agreed with Toyohashi City, to build a decentralized healthcare service for the city through blockchain technology.
Furthermore, a close connection to the Omron Corporation founders, Mr. Takuo Tateishi supports Genkicell through funding and technological developments. More corporations Japan are in talks with Genkicell Chain for possible future partnerships.
Through the partnership with Ontology, Genkicell will build the Gen ID, an automatic and intelligent digital wallet and Gen Scan universal multi-identity system. The announcement on Ontology’s official Medium page read:
“They [Gen ID and Gen Scan] are expected to be efficient tools which will innovate personal routine health data visualization and medical credentials. At the same time, this will also accelerate the development of the health data processing systems, the completion of a large health data trial platform, and the transformation of Toyohashi City into a smart medical city.”

Additionally, the partnership aims at the development of health medical technology in Japan, China, and the rest of the world. On the strategic partnership, Shota said,
“This cooperation is not only the first deep contact between Japan and China in the blockchain industry, but is also a new trend of cooperation between Japan and China in response to the current international climate. As an advanced medical technology country, Japan is launching blockchain and large health applications by cooperating with world-renowned blockchain technology companies.”
The partnership between the two companies opens up a new efficient medical/ health industry. This was the statement of Li Jun, founder of Ontology during his speech on the partnership with Genkicell.
He further stated the effort Ontology has placed in the health industry to offer decentralized application (dApp) development. The partnership with Toyohashi City and Omron will also be key in Ontology’s future plans. He said,
“Earlier this year when we held our MainNet launch event in Tokyo, we were fortunate to have preliminary talks with Toyohashi City and the GenkiCell team. […] Recently we have gone forward with our cooperation and dApp development. I believe that with the support of parties such as Toyohashi City and Omron, Ontology and Genkicell will have a promising future in the medical/health industry”.
