Various Aluminum Sites Have Been Revamped for Crypto Mining Facilities
The old Alcoa aluminum facilities are finally being put to good use as one more of these facilities has just been embarked into the crypto mining industry. The AWAC, referred to as the Alcoa World Alumina and Chemicals, has customers around the globe, this is from China, US, Europe and even Brazil. The company has gone ahead to let the old operations in the US sites for the aluminum go.

According to a press release by Bitmain, the new construction that will be on the old Alcoa Rockdale Operation site is ongoing and is expected to be ready by early 2019. With this new facility, it will be able to bring about 400 new jobs to the economy in just the first two years.
At the moment the company has already started the recruitment of new employees for the data center that is located in Rochdale. Thus they are seeking for a senior manager, financial specialist, sales, technicians, and engineers. But this is not all as the company also plans on working with the educational programs and local schools within the area, it is to ensure they prime the locals for jobs for the next few years as the data center continues to expand and develop.
The executive vice president and also the director of operations within the Bitmain company, Jeff Stearns went ahead to comment that the company is honored to announce the news and is looking forward to working with the local partners, stakeholders and also the government. All this will help the company in realizing their vision, this is through the initial operations, set up phase and various tasks within the organization.
