The number of tokens supported by the leading crypto exchange and trading platform, OKEx continues to grow. In a latest addition, the platform has announced support for two new coins — The Midas Touch Gold (TMTG) and Everipedia (IQ). These new listing follows the recent introduction of THETA/USD and THETA/USDT perpetual swap trading pairs on the OKEx platform.

Following the listing, the two tokens will also be available for spot trading. The IQ/USDT and IQ/BTC spot trading went live at 11:00 (UTC) on June 18 while the TMTG/USDT and TMTG/BTC market is set to open at 07:00 (UTC) on June 24, 2020.

Everipedia is an EOS based community-governed knowledge and information platform. Sharing some similarities with Wikipedia, Everipedia provides everyone with a platform on which they can share what they know about anything, as long as the content is neutral and properly referenced. The blockchain infrastructure underneath it utilizes a 3-module system that includes token, governance, and article submission modules. The governance module is necessary to make any changes to the Everipedia community following approval from the IQ token holders. Meanwhile, the token module manages any changes to the token balances in different addresses whereas, the article module helps propose changes or edits to be included in the crowdsourced information database.

On the other hand, TMTG is the ecosystem token of Digital Gold Exchange (DGE) which acts as a bridge between traditional assets and cryptocurrency. The exclusive agreement between DGE and Korea Gold Exchange 3M allows TMTG holders to buy digital gold tokens that can be redeemed for physical gold on South Korea’s largest gold trading company.

Explaining how TMTG differentiates from other tokens, CEO of OKEx Jay Hao said, “Different from some companies that have issued cryptocurrencies without actually considering use cases, TMTG could bring true value to users. Besides, we are pleased to witness the combination of cryptocurrency and traditional safe-haven assets, which is an exciting development direction.” He further added, “We have great hopes for TMGT, it can open up a new direction of value storage and promote crypto mass adoption.”

The inclusion of TMTG and IQ is great news for the concerned projects as it will also contribute towards their reputation. All assets that are listed on the platform must first undergo a stringent review process set up by OKEx, and any token that manages to pass these tests and gets listed can proudly wear a badge of honor.
