This native cryptocurrency wallet application seems to be a new way to store digital currencies.

This new smartphone would have the hole-punch display that would be trying to address the issue related to the notches. During the last few years, some smartphones were released to the market with larger screens but with some difficulties to place the front-facing cameras and face-ID recognition technologies.

This is why smartphone manufacturers came up with the idea of using notches on the top part of the screen. However, not everyone liked them.

The new Samsung Galaxy S10 would be announced at Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 20. Furthermore, it is expected for the company to show a fully-functional version of a foldable smartphone.

If the new application related to a blockchain wallet turns out to be real, we might see many new possibilities for cryptocurrency users. Although there is no information on whether the device will be soring the private keys of the user or not, it shows that the intention is to start offering services to crypto-related users.

It is not possible to know whether the phone will be offering support for decentralized applications (dApps) or not. Nevertheless, this is a very positive first step in terms of digital assets for a massive smartphone manufacturer.

A few days ago, Sirin Labs opened the first blockchain smartphone store in London. The company released the so-called Finney phone that is being sold at $999. Each of these phones supports decentralized applications, it offers a hardware wallet, and it uses the Brave browser by default.

In the future, it would be interesting to see what other smartphone manufacturers will start to do in terms of cryptocurrency adoption. Apple one of the main competitors of Samsung has not revealed any information on whether they are thinking about embracing cryptocurrencies or not.

Samsung started to produce 7nm chips known as Low Power Plus (7LPP) process node. The company aims at reducing energy consumption for mining activities up to 50 percent.

The free internet makes us the product — we need to stop it

The bad headlines continue to stack up for Facebook this year: from the Cambridge Analytica scandal, to the New York Times report that Facebook gave Apple, Samsung, and other mobile device makers access to its users personal data without permission, to the revelation that the firm routinely gives user information and preferences to several Chinese telecommunications firms, to last week’s security breach in which hackers took control of 50 million user accounts as well as any third-party sites those users logged into via Facebook.
