There’s now a new digital wallet app that aims to make cryptocurrency more easily accessible to the masses, called Jaxx Liberty. This app makes digital currency management more convenient by giving users the tools they need to manage over 70 cryptocurrencies, all in one user interface. Jaxx Liberty is a free service, and its beta version is already available in Canada. But the rest of the world might have to wait a few weeks for an international release.
Making Cryptocurrency Less ComplicatedJaxx founder and CEO and Ethereum cofounder Anthony Di Iorio points out how Jaxx Liberty brings unity to an increasingly fragmented cryptocurrency landscape. He said:
“As the popularity of cryptocurrency continues to grow, the ecosystem has become increasingly fragmented, Jaxx Liberty takes an important step towards unifying and empowering the blockchain community to take control of their digital lives.”
The Jaxx CEO explains how the app remedies cryptocurrency’s current state of fragmentation, saying:
“Before the web browser, adoption of the Internet was limited to tech-savvy early adopters. That’s the stage we’re at today with cryptocurrency, Jaxx Liberty is the web browser for your digital assets, empowering the masses to adopt the benefits of cryptocurrency and blockchain.”
Aside from cryptocurrency management, the app also offers market data, portfolio, news, as well as a multichain Block Explorer.
Perfecting Cryptocurrency ManagementAccording to the app’s official blog, the latest version of the app was released in celebration of Canada Day and will come with new features and new backend servers. The app is available for a variety of devices, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and even as a Chrome Extension. Jaxx hopes that the beta release could help them refine the product first before its planned mid-July release for the worldwide market.
While the app itself is already functional, Jaxx reminds users that it’s still in beta stage. With that said, they recommend users not to rely on Jaxx Liberty’s beta version alone. The developers discourage beta version users from using large digital currency amounts that they’re not willing to lose. Furthermore, Jaxx urges users to give feedback on the app and to inform them if they encounter any bugs.
