New Bitcoin ATM Arrives in Shropshire With the Intention to Expand in Rural England
A new Bitcoin ATM has been installed in Shropshire, UK. The company behind the installation is Bitchains and it aims to continue its expansion in rural England. The new ATM is located in the Red Lion Service Station.
Jack Chandler, Bitchains’ business associate, said that they aim to reach remote areas and allow everyone to know about virtual currencies.
Speaking to the Shropshire Star, he said:
“We are aiming at more of the remote areas to install our ATMs to spread the knowledge and importance of cryptocurrencies.”
At the same time, he mentioned that Bitchains is working in order to transform Bitcoin into a reserve currency. The company focuses on making it easy for outsiders to enter the cryptocurrency market and learn how cryptocurrencies work.
This machine installed at the Red Lion Service Station is just the first of over 10 similar terminals that the company wants to install around Shropshire and West Midlands. Apparently, the intention is to complete the expansion before the end of the current year.
It is important to mention that users will be able to buy Litecoin (LTC) and Ether (ETH) as well, two of the most famous and valuable virtual currencies in the market. Moreover, users will be able to set up their digital asset wallet using the ATM.
Additionally, Mr Chandler talked about the future of blockchain technology and how digital currencies could expand all over the world.
“People and business really need to start using cryptocurrencies and get on board with blockchain technology and the sooner everyone does buy into this more secure, independent way of financing the better,” he said.
Chandler explained that it is very important to communicate that message to other individuals that do not know about that or have misconceptions about Bitcoin.
According to CoinATMradar, there are 3742 crypto-related ATMs around the world in 75 different countries. United States and Canada own 2892 machines, accounting for 77.28% of all the crypto ATMs around the world. They are followed by Austria with 217 locations (5.79%), the United Kingdom with 200 locations (5.34%) and Spain 63 locations (1.68%).
The company will also expand to other cities such as Stoke, Birmingham and Manchester. Most of the U.S cities have at least a Bitcoin ATM.
