Microsoft Reveals a Lot of News at Its Build 2020 Conference
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) has just concluded its 10th Build conference 2020, whereby more than 200,000 people were registered for the two-day event according to Frank Shaw, the company’s spokesman. The company made a collection of news on one page and gave the reader choice on what to focus on.
“To make the book of news more interactive, we’ve created a live site that we hope you will find engaging and easy to navigate,” the company said in a statement. “Instead of scrolling through pages of content, you now have the option to select the items you are interested in from the table of content,” it added.
Microsoft Build 2020 Major AnnouncementsOn top of its list was the development of Azure in collaboration with other entities in the market to solve an existing problem. One of the noticeable news in this category is the development of a cloud for health care.
Another news that stood out is how Microsoft is intending to use its Azure system to further AI technology. Microsoft will enhance the Azure Machine Learning cloud service with an open-source tool. In the same category, the company announced that it will be collaborating with OpenAI to build a cloud supercomputer.
On the list of news, Microsoft announced it has come up with a chat for developers. The tool will enable programmers to text chat and also make voice calls through the open-source Visual Studio code editor. This will be enabled all without closing or switching the apps.
The company also announced the Azure Cosmos DB feature which offers enhanced key and data recovery options for enterprise and mission-critical apps. In addition, the company highlighted its Azure Mixed Reality, whereby it said that MicrosoftHololens 2 will begin shipping fall 2020.
Hololens 2 is a self-contained holographic computer that offers the most comfortable and immersive mixed reality experience according to Microsoft.
Azure will also be incorporated in the IoT, whereby Microsoft announced that Azure Digital Twins will soon offer expanded capabilities to allow for the creation of a digital representation of any asset. In addition to Azure IoT, the certification for developers is now broadly available.
On the list of developer tools announced during the 2020 build Microsoft conference is the preview 4 for .NET 5, which is now available. In addition, the company announced the .NET Multi-platform App UI that enables application creation from a single codebase and also a project system.
The company also announced the Azure developer services, whereby static Apps hosting option is now available in-app service through the public preview.
