Startup Madagascar Time Limited has launched a cryptocurrency to help fund global clarity work.
Madagascar Time Limited, a newly launched startup, has announced the launch of a new for-charity cryptocurrency. $TIME was created to help fight climate change and poverty on a global scale. The team at Madagascar is comprised of co-founders Raymond Mullens, Armand Iancu, Ryan Bishop, and Corey Blanchette. Along with a squad of volunteers and interns around the globe, they are putting crypto to good use and to affect positive change.
According to Madagascar Time’s website, their name was decided upon due to Madagascar’s climate vulnerability and using a lemur as its logo to represent their declining population. The name $TIME given to the coin was done to “underscore the immediate need for action to save our planet and safeguard the lives of future generations.”
The team has set a goal to drive positive change while also providing entertainment and games for a community of enthusiasts. “As well as bridge different blockchain platforms,” the company states. At launch, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Matic are available for $TIME holders.
The current $TIME app offering is a game called “Spin the Wheel and Match Cards.” The game is the first step for the team’s planned casino and exchange listings that are already available on CoinTiger. The company plans to create and market games around its lemur-based NFT avatars that can be bought and traded for charity.
$TIME already making a changeThe project claims to have already donated more than $30,000 since July 1 to the Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Relief fund, the California Wildfire Emergency Relief fund, and planted 4,000 of a planned 1 million trees.
Donations are also going worldwide to places like Turkey, China, and Greece. These international projects focus on social issues such as education, impoverished new mothers, children’s medical needs, and wildlife conservation.
Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Madagascar Time, Ryan Bishop, said in a statement “It’s about ‘$TIME’ an organization started using blockchain technology and crypto to change the world for the better. Together we can buy $TIME for the planet and future generations.”
The company’s Chief Content Officer, Corey Blanchette, added that “Protecting the environment needs to be more than a dream; we need to do it as a global community in a sustainable and efficient way. That’s what inspired us to create $TIME, but it’s only the beginning.”
