Largest Blockchain Stress Test Due In November For Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash, the cryptocurrency that forked from bitcoin after disagreements developed over how to proceed on scalability, is all set to stress test for the next round of network upgrades.
Bitcoin SV UpgradeOn November 15th, the Bitcoin Cash will go through a complete network upgrade titled Bitcoin SV. The SV stands for Satoshi’s Vision. The upgrade is named such since the BCH team believes it will be executing the vision Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto saw the world’s first decentralized cryptocurrency will achieve one day.
The upgrade will see the maximum block size of the network increase from its current 32MB to an astounding 128MB. The upgrade means a massive on chain scaling upgrade. In addition, Satoshi’s original op_codes will also be re-enabled.

Stress TestingTwo days after the upgrade will be executed; the BCH stress test team will start its main work. The stress team is confident of the upgrades. “We are aiming to process over 24 million transactions within a 24 hour period on the main BCH chain.” The team said,
“Processing over 24 million transactions will showcase the Bitcoin BCH network capacity today, and will be a positive signal for merchants, businesses and investors, giving them confidence in the Bitcoin BCH network and its ability to scale on-chain”
The first round of the test will be executed on 1st of November. This will lead to the secondary “warm up” test on the 10th. After the two tests are done successfully without any issues, the team will move forward to the main test planned on the 17th.
Transaction BlasterThe team will use the same transaction blaster technique it used in September to test the previous upgrade. The transaction, or TX Blaster, is a testing protocol that handles Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) and manages them in transaction parcel that are then simultaneously sent on the network. This effectively puts the network under stress and thereby, determines actual load handling capabilities. The TX blaster is a lot more sophisticated and complex than the previous one.
The stress team operates independently of all others on the BCH community.
Donations And SponsorThe stress test team will put load on the network with a warm up test comprising of 1 million transactions. For this purpose, the team is seeking donations of 5 to 10 BCH. Any donations in excess at the end of the warm up test will be used in the final test on 17th November.
For the main test, the team is using sponsorship to cover the expenses. The sponsorship is in the shape of multiple levels. Each level is a portion of the transaction volume that will be used for the 24 hour stress test.
