Read here to find out and see the pictures that were posted:
Crypto Rumor Warning: Is KuCoin Exchange’s Hong Kong Office Empty?
About this situation, KuCoin explained that the office in Hong Kong is just a mailing address of a subsidiary company of the crypto giant. Additionally, the exchange explains that it is headquartered in Singapore. There are other offices as well in other countries such as China, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
“There have been rumours that KuCoin’s central office in Hong Kong is empty. In fact, KuCoin’s public address in Hong Kong is merely a mailing address of one of KuCoin’s many subsidiary companies. KuCoin Headquarters is in Singapore. KuCoin has always been a global firm, with over 300 employees and four major offices in China, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.”
While KuCoin does not do significant volume compared to other industry giants like Binance, Bitfinex, OKEx, or Huobi – it is vitally important that this virtual currency exchange does not operate via a ghost town office. It does have a wide variety of virtual currencies listed and is often very friendly to altcoins. In the last 24 hours the exchange registered $12.9 million dollars volume.
The most important trading pairs BTC/USDT, DCC/ETH and DCC/BTC, accounting for 26% of the trading volume.
It is very important for users to know where the platform is located, which rules it is following, and which regulations it has to adapt to.
But we ask you cryptocurrency community – where are the pictures – should a simple few hundred word statement be suffice to clarify? Why not take a picture of the office and location if such serious allegations are made towards you?
While the drama might be fizzled here, we don't know that this official KuCoin statement is suffice without some pictures. Why would you list an address that is not used or resembles no activity? Not that they owe us anything that might jeopardize their privacy and business operations, why not give a little more to go on to rest those traders and investors who use the KuCoin cryptocurrency exchange?
Stay tuned and always a friendly reminder to never keep your funds on exchanges unless you are actively trading and using them in the short term.
