The official Dogecoin account wrote on X,
Today Kabosu, our community’s shared friend and inspiration, peacefully passed in the arms of her person. She was a being who knew only happiness and limitless love.
Impact of Kabosu’s legacyDogecoin highlighted Kabosu’s immense influence, stating that her impact “across the world is immeasurable.”
They urged people to carry forward her legacy, keeping her spirit and her family in their hearts. “We are all fortunate for hers to have touched and shaped ours,” the post concluded.

Farewell party planned for KabosuKabosu’s owner revealed in a blog post that a farewell party would be held for “Kabo-chan on Sunday, May 26” at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City.
The owner shared that the night before she died, Kabosu “ate her rice and drank plenty of water, as usual.”
She passed away peacefully and “quietly” in her sleep the next day, with her owner by her side, gently stroking her.
Remembering KabosuIn the blog post, the owner expressed that Kabosu “was the happiest dog in the world,” and they felt like the “happiest person to have her.”
Kabosu was diagnosed with leukemia and liver disease in 2022. Despite her illness, her legacy as the Doge meme continues to bring joy and inspiration to many.
