John McAfee announced that he has accepted the position of CEO of LUXCORE as part of a big shakeup of staff within the company. They described the new move as a drive toward further business growth.

John McAfee announced on August 13 in an official statement on Twitter that he has officially accepted the role of CEO of LUXCORE, stating that he will still be leading “Team McAfee.”

In the Twitter post, McAfee stated that LUXCORE, the team behind the next-generation blockchain ecosystem for enterprise security and privacy, has been working hard behind the scenes in order to bring new blockchain features that everyone has been waiting for.

LUXCORE also came forward to welcome McAfee to the team as the new CEO, expressing that big changes have been made in regard to the reorganization of its personnel. Additionally, the official post stated that the changes would result in “significant and rapid business growth” for the company.

To help support the anticipated business growth, in a Medium post, LUXCORE announced producing two successful hard forks that were completed during the last two weeks.  They said that “these hard forks have introduced revolutionary new blockchain features to the Luxcore ecosystem that set it apart as one of the leading blockchain service providers in the industry.”

John McAfee, speaking as the company’s CEO, said that he will focus on marketing strategies to promote the company’s products, such as the new PoS wallet and the LuxGate cross-platform exchange, which will be released soon. He added that he is excited about the company’s more “aggressive” changes.

Apart from these updates, LUXCORE added that the new version of the system, Mercury 5.2.1, will bring smart contracts, SegWit and the LuxGate cross-platform, which will utilize the Parallel Masternode System. With this, the company will create a private network for business requirements and enterprises, on top of its existing public network.
