Izumi, which generates programmable liquidity mining on Uniswap V3 (UNI/USD), completed a Series A fundraising round of $3.5 million, Invezz learned from a press release. This brings the total funds raised by the innovative protocol to $5.6 million with this last investment round.
Funds to facilitate native token launchThe funds raised are going to facilitate izumi’s native token (iZi) launch on December 20. The izumi “LiquidBox” platform will be launched the following day. Among the participants in the Series A funding round were Cadenza, FENBUSHI, Mirana Ventures, IOSG, EVG, Hashkey, Bixin, WOO Network, GSR, CyberX, Dorahacks, Gate Labs, and individual investors.
Jimmy Yin, co-founder of izumi Finance, commented:
Izumi’s vision is clear and meaningful: to help projects attract on-chain trading liquidity in an efficient and continuous way. LiquidBox of izumi will be our first step, and a multi-chain liquidity solution is on the way. We sincerely welcome every project to izumi to come to us for better and cheaper liquidity.
Xinshu Dong, co-founder of IOSG, added:
Izumi is building another missing Lego in the DeFi puzzle by helping projects achieve target liquidity distribution, including enhanced concentrated liquidity, with a suite of tools. We are very glad to be working with them on this ambitious and critical task!
In light of Uniswap’s V3 release, izumi is developing a highly needed, fresh and innovative tool. V3’s concentrated liquidity model has enabled liquidity providers to bond their assets to one or more tight price ranges, which makes it possible to capture many more transaction fees for the same investment. However, Uniswap is notorious for the impermanent losses inflicted on investors.
LiquidBox increases earnings and attracts liquidityLiquidBox allows projects to attract more liquidity via token rewards and investors to increase their earnings because it allocates reward tokens to guarantee the best outcome. One model makes it possible to provide just buy side liquidity to Uniswap V3 and farm rewards directly using the other portion of a portfolio. Consequently, the user does not suffer any upside impermanent loss.
A win-win situationIzumi’s customizable models create a win-win situation for users and projects. These include innovative models that provide liquidity only to specified ranges.
