IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson To Announce Major Changes To Cardano Roadmap In IOHK Summit

Cardano is expected to make drastic changes to its roadmap, which will be announced by Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK, during the upcoming IOHK Summit to be held in Miami on April 17 to 18. Currently, the project’s roadmap doesn’t bear any timelines until the announcement is made/

Announcing the news on Cardano’s forum, Laurie, one of the project’s team members, commented:

“The Cardano roadmap is changing. We will be launching an exciting new roadmap which showcases the Cardano 2020 vision after the IOHK Summit, which will be taking place on April 17-18.”

Cardano’s new roadmap will be updated once Charles Hoskinson makes his speech on the projects 2020 vision in the IOHK Summit. Although IOHK is yet to make true its promises, Cardano enjoys full funding until 2020.

The IOHK Summit will see industry experts from all corners of the world come together and leverage their experience. Apart from the much-awaited announcement by Hoskinson, the summit will also feature live interviews and workshops.

It’s not yet known what Hoskinson has in store for its community, but it’s certainly going to be good news. Previously, Cardano was expected to release Shelley last year, but that was postponed until 2019, so we can expect it to be one of the main parts of the new roadmap.

According to Hoskinson, Cardano will see at least 50-fold decentralization increase when the network reaches its Shelly stage. The project has five stages in its roadmap, which include Voltaire, Basho, Goguen, Shelley, and Bryon.

Following the news of the new roadmap announcement, Cardano’s community could not hide their excitement, hoping that this will strengthen the project and possibly propel the value of Cardano (ADA) to go up.

One particular member on Cardano’s forum commented:

“Thank you very much, I welcome this decision. Many expect always big announcements when updating a roadmap although it should only show which tasks are currently being worked on. The old roadmap often has too high expectations here in the community or for new members in the Cardano world.”
