Introducing UPAP, Wire Network’s flagship blockchain protocol

Wire Network has launched Universal Polymorphic Address Protocol (UPAP), the flagship interoperability protocol, Invezz learned from a press release. For the first time, users will have access to a universal, readable wallet address to send and receive NFTs as well as perform crypto swaps across any blockchain.

Breakthrough blockchain tech

UPAP is Wire Network’s innovative blockchain technology, resulting in an exceptional line-up of products focused on gaming, usability, security, and scalability for dApps and cryptocurrencies. 

The UPAP wallet also offers universal blockchain integration. It’s compatible with any blockchain using an ECDSA key pair: Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Wax, Cardano, Algorand, and many more.

All protocols unlocked

The user’s only task is to import a mnemonic code from their favourite wallet. This way, they create a universal wallet address, which can unlock protocols representing any blockchain. They can also receive and send Web3 assets just by knowing a recipient’s universal wallet address.

The universal wallet’s alpha versions can be accessed through Wire’s play-to-earn dApp, R4R3, Wire’s NFT marketplace, and Dragon Spawn. Users will be able to access them via protocol-enabled wallet partners such as MegaMask and TheWallet. 

Kyle Dolan, CTO of Wire Network, said:

Domains created a standard naming convention for web servers. Linux created a standardized environment for running code on web servers. Currently, Ethereum addresses are different from Solana addresses which are different from Bitcoin addresses, etc.

Universal access to assets

UPAP is a universal protocol translating these address types in a standardized way, enabling assets that exist on different protocols to be universally accessed by UPAP-enabled wallets, and transacted without any knowledge of the assets’ chain of custody.

Preparing for the NFT sale of nodes

Wire Network is also gearing up for the launch of its NFT sale of Wire Network Nodes, which provide owner’s governance, network resources, premium memberships, and token rewards exclusive to Wire Network.
