Litecoin (LTC) and Monero (XMR) are among altcoins to record slight gains as Bitcoin hovered around the $96K mark.

Meanwhile, DeFi token Morpho (MORPHO) and AI agent Zerebro (ZEREBRO) saw declines of over 5% at press time.

While not sharp increases, both Litecoin and Monero prices registered some upside to rank among the top gainers in the 100 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.

The upward moves pale in comparison to the recent gains of Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL), Fartcoin (FARTCOIN), and Pepe (PEPE). Mantra (OM), FTX Token (FTT), and Algorand (ALGO). 

Litecoin reached $106.03 after buyers pushed from lows of $97, with LTC breaking above the psychological level once again.

Key indicators, the relative strength index (RSI), and moving average convergence divergence (MACD) suggest bulls may have an upper hand. Both indicators however suggest downward pressure may yet hinder buyers.

XMR was trading at 201.64 at press time having dropped to lows of $183 on Dec. 30. 

Monero price currently hovers near the critical resistance level of $200, which bulls may target as potential support in an attempt to break higher.

Notably, the privacy coin’s price reached $230 this past month, with gains of 19% over the month.

A bullish setup for XMR is likely to strengthen with a breakout, in this case, an ascending triangle pattern.

Morpho and Zerebro tokens were down more than 5% at the time of writing this report. 

DeFi token MORPHO dropped more than 5% and was trading at $3.18. The price is still up 11% on a 7-day basis.

The protocol’s upward momentum comes as the overall DeFi ecosystem eyes a bullish flip in 2025.

Meanwhile, AI agent token ZEREBRO was also down. At press time, Zerebro’s price was trading at 0.6286.

The Solana AI meme coin token reached a market cap of nearly $700 million.

However, this is significantly lower than the staggering $2 billion market cap that ai16z hit as it went parabolic this week.

As well as these tokens, crypto analysts are bullish on the broader AI tokens ecosystem.
