Top industry experts will share their experience, and the best white hackers will compete in a search for vulnerabilities.
This year the forum is held for the fourth time, the theme of HackIT 4.0 is Exploit Blockchain, the use of blockchain technology in cybersecurity. The event will bring together the best white hackers from all over the world, specialists in blockchain, leading experts in the field of cybersecurity, and IT entrepreneurs.
Forum participants will learn how to protect business from cyber attacks, get applicable practical knowledge, acquire useful contacts in the white hackers environment, and join a unique community.
Program and SpeakersThe program of the forum consists of several blocks: a competition for hackers, a tour to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and a two-day conference.
On the first day of the forum, October 8, trainings and a bug bounty marathon (competition for white hackers) will take place in offline mode. Participants will have access to the IT products of the forum partners and will test them for vulnerabilities.
The second day — October 9 — is devoted to communication and networking. During the tour to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, participants will get acquainted and establish contacts within this closed community.
A ticket to the forum is a chance to become a part of the elite hacker community. The trip is intended to remind participants about the responsibility that humanity bears for its inventions, and about possible ways to prevent cyber crises that can lead to a national catastrophe.
On October 10-11 a conference devoted to cyber security will take place. More than 30 speakers from Ukraine, the USA, France, Great Britain, Canada, China, Turkey, Romania, and other countries will deliver reports and case studies. HackIT attracts leading experts from around the world to discuss cybersecurity issues and pass on invaluable knowledge to IT managers and security professionals.
Among the top speakers are:
Moxie Marlinspike — founder of Signal (the most secure messenger), former head of the security team at Twitter; Michael Shlon von Benevitz — computer scientist, founder of the Monero Hardware team; Brian Gorenс — director of Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative; Ibrahim Hegazi — senior security consultant at Deloitte; Peter Todd — applied cryptography consultant, Bitcoin Core developer. In addition to the report area, the conference will have an exhibition hall of 1,000 square meters, panel discussions, and round tables. A discussion on breaking the crypto-exchange will be streamed by Michael Gu, the author of the Boxmining (Youtube channel about blockchain and cryptocurrencies).
On October 8, white hackers compete in the detection of vulnerabilities in IT systems and products during the bug bounty marathon Hacken Cup. They will test sites, payment services, and mobile applications of partner companies of the event. The best ethical hackers will receive financial rewards and other prizes.
Carrying out such competitions is not only an assessment of white hackers professional level, but also building a community, strengthening business ties between hackers and the IT business.
During the event, white hackers and those who want to enter that profession will get to know like-minded people, and entrepreneurs will learn more about the ethical hackers’ working methods. The HackIT 4.0 forum is an opportunity to augment business and cyber security specialist skills to the highest level.
The marathon and the forum in general will contribute to the creation of a new cybersecurity center in Eastern Europe — in Kyiv. If you are interested in joining this center — come to the HackIT 4.0 forum.
