Google Slashes Pixel 3 by $300 in Expecting of Pixel 4 Reveal
The latest round of Google Store “Special offers” started out and one of the biggest ‘catches’ is certainly their Pixel 3 with its $300 discount. The deal is valid until September 28th, and, bear in mind that Pixel 4 is expected to be presented to the public in just a few weeks from then.
Last month, the Google Store offered some of its customers $300 off the Pixel 3 and 3 XL with a special promo code. Meanwhile, everybody else could claim a $200 discount. Both phones are also $300 off on Google Fi right now.
The previous higher offer is now available for all over the next two months. The smaller Pixel 3 with 64GB of storage is $499 and 128GB is $599. At the same time, the Pixel 3 XL is $599 or $699. These Made by Google flagships are available in Just Black, Clearly White, or Not Pink, with all models currently in stock. Last year’s flagships are now only $100 more expensive than the Pixel 3a.
This $499 Pixel 3 sale lasts until September 28, 2019, at 11:59 pm PT, “while supplies last and subject to availability.”
However, some users are not thrilled with this offer claiming that between Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a aren’t that many differences, at least they aren’t worth an additional $100.
Maybe it’s good for people who want to own Google phone at a reduced price, but for those who are eager of better performances – it’s advised to wait for Pixel 4.
Google says the Pixel 4 will come with a radar sensor technology that in every case outmatches facial recognition systems like Apple’s Face ID, and is enabling its users to make hand gestures to swipe through songs. Called ‘Soli’ sensor, with this miniature motion-sensing radar, as well as face unlock.
Google promised that it’s just the start for its radar sensor technology, and most features will come in the future.
Google says its Advanced Technology and Products team (ATAP) worked on Soli for five years. The Pixel 4 will include the sensor at the top of the screen next to the earpiece. The search giant said that Soli will combine unique software algorithms and hardware to recognize gestures and detect when a user is nearby.
Pixel 4 will be the first device with Soli, which will power its Motion Sense features, allowing users to go through songs, snooze alarms and silence phone calls with just a wave of the hand.
Google says Motion Sense will improve overtime as well. However, Motion Sense will only be available in “select Pixel countries.”
It also should be notchless with a distinct forehead and small chin, front cameras; several cameras/sensors to support facial recognition and gestures and at least 2 cameras on back possibly with a 16MP Telephoto zoom lens.
Even though it’s still not have been confirmed by the company, memory should be upped to 6GB. For comparison, Samsung’s S10 already has 8GB. Be it as it may, there is a lot of hope for a new Google Assistant that is proved better than Apple‘s Siri and Samsung’s Bixby.
One thing is clear, the more and more we go into the future, AI will be becoming one of the most important criteria for users when choosing a phone and Google is, at least for now, the unquestioned leader in this category.
