The fintech school, founded back in 2014, is currently offering users to pay with cryptocurrencies for their studies. Students have the possibility to chose post-Bachelor and MBA level qualifications. The school also teaches master classes in topics such as financial technology and blockchain.
In order to be adapted to the latest trends, the school will be offering users to pay with Bitcoin. According to the institution, 25% of foreign students, transferring money can be a complex issue, so crypto payments make things easier. Additionally, the school will be able to track and process secure transfers.
So as for this implementation to be possible, the school partnered with the blockchain startup known as Coin Capital, which is based in Paris. Coin Capital will be facilitating the whole payment process in virtual currencies and support students to process the necessary payments.
At the moment, there are five students that were able to pay their fees in cryptocurrencies. One of them, Adam Hasib, said that he was able to pay his tuition fees because he was an ‘early investor’ in virtual currencies.
He commented on the matter:
“I became interested in this technology very early on and quickly became a staunch follower of the Blockchain’s decentralized model. By June 2017 I had acquired my first bitcoins, which allowed me to pay the registration deposit at school.”
There are many different universities and courses about blockchain and cryptocurrencies all over the world. According to the jobs platform Glassdoor, the number of blockchain-related jobs in the United States has increased by 300% compared to the same period in 2017.
This means that there is a growing demand in an industry that pays higher salaries than the rest of the sectors. Universities can start to offer new courses and subjects related to blockchain and virtual currencies and attract new interested students.
For example, the London School of Economics decided to launch a course known as “Cryptocurrency Investment and Disruption.” At the same time, in Argentina, Brazil, Rumania, Australia and South Africa there are other courses related to distributed ledger technology and cryptocurrency economics.
Perhaps, one of the most important institutions teaching about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is Stanford University. It offers the largest amount of courses related to distributed ledger technology and cryptocurrencies.
Furthermore, according to some studies, 40% of the world’s top 50 universities offer at least a class related to blockchain technology.
