Steve Bannon, Former Advisor to Trump, To Launch His Own Crypto
You probably still remember Steve Bannon, right? The former chief strategist of the current U. S. President Donald Trump was fired from the government some time ago and it looks like he has found his way on the crypto world. Recently, Bannon has told the media that he intends to launch his own cryptocurrency.
According to reports, the Breitbart co-founder affirmed that cryptocurrencies are the future and that he was working on “some tokens” at the moment, utility tokens that would be used for a populist movement on a worldwide basis.
Bannon First Hinted The Idea in JuneIt has been about a month since Bannon started to hint at his new idea, but he was very hesitant to release specific details at first. The interest of the ex-Trump advisor in cryptos is even longer than that, going back to 2017.
At the time, he contemplated the name Deplorables Coin, which was a reference to how the former Secretary of State and U. S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has described the Trump supporters during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Problems Right Now, But A Bright FutureWhile Bannon agrees that the crypto space is facing some issues right now and there have been clear problems in the market, he also believes that the cryptos have a huge chance of becoming something big in the future.
He stated that he knows that most of the ICOs were disasters, as a lot of people simply took a lot of money and never actually delivered anything mildly useful, only surfed the hype of blockchain. However, he explained to the media that his team is working on a new crypto that has “quality” and that people will not be disappointed.
Bannon has also commented that he owns a few cryptos and like some of the current tokens in the market. He likes and owns Bitcoin but not Ethereum, according to his statements.
