Coinstelegram team met in Malta Eman Pulis, founder and CEO of SiGMA and organizer of Malta AI and Blockchain Summit (AIBC Summit). Below is his exclusive interview for Coinstelegram.
Let us make compliments to you as a founder and organizer of that show!
– It’s not me – we have a team of 20 people. And it’s not just us but its Malta itself. Malta has great incentives and it makes our job easy.
Do you have contacts with the government?
– Yes, government knows what we do and they believe in what we do. And since the beginning six years ago when we started the first show, not in blockchain, but in gaming, the government was supporting all of our initiatives. I’m very lucky to have that support.
Why did you choose Manila as a place for the next conference and how many people do you expect?
– Good question! Two reasons. Reason number one: we want to do this in Asia, but we don’t want to compete with our friends in Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul. I didn’t want to compete with them. And if saying about South East Asia – the Philippines is the place of choice among all of South East Asia countries. Reason number two – there is hundreds of millions of people in South East Asia who do not have a bank account but they do have smartphones. So the opportunity for mass adoption of blockchain technology is very good. And reason number three – we’re doing our show in blockchain side-by-side with our gambling show in Manila. Everyone coming to see our show on blockchain and AI also visit gambling show. This is huge case for mass adoption. We expect over 10 thousand visitors.
It is much more than in Malta!
– Yes! Because this is not just Blockchain and AI show but this going to be SiGMA – the show for gaming. And in total – more than 10 thousand people.
And what about gaming summit in Malta?
– We started off with SiGMA Summit of iGaming in Malta and now we have Summit of iGaming in Manila. That show in Malta bring over 60 thousand people. It’s a big place for online gambling. As you know the gambling industry is always one of the first to adopt new technology. They want crypto solutions, blockchain solutions. So having the blockchain and gambling shows together – its gonna send fireworks.
What do you anticipate speaking about bitcoin price? Is it going to grow soon?
– I’m a huge bitcoin fan, not so much involved in all the other coins. I believe bitcoin will go up eventually. Whether however long this storm would last – I think we would have good run eventually.
