Enjin, the first dedicated blockchain allowing anyone to mint NFTs, has signed a partnership agreement with Virtual Worlds, a brand with over two decades of experience in capturing and sharing the world’s most impressive monuments in mind-blowing digital experiences.
To mark this partnership’s kick-off, Virtual Worlds will be working with Enjin to produce a set of NFTs of the Great Sphinx of Egypt and the Pyramids of Giza.
These limited-edition NFTs will be up for grabs on the official website. Not only may the owners of these NFTs hold the historical monuments in their hands, but they will also be able to showcase them in Virtual Worlds’ virtual houses.
The partnership between Virtual Worlds and Enjin is the first-ever instance of NFTs being created from digitized historical landmarks. It builds the foundations for a new era of engagement and possession of realistic representations of prominent monuments worldwide.
Virtual Worlds has been digitizing historical landmarks around the world for over 20 years. The company has worked with some of the world’s largest brands, including Netflix, Amazon, National Geographic, Disney, Nvidia, and many more.
Elliott Mizroch, CEO of Virtual Worlds, said:
“At Virtual Worlds, we’re bringing the world’s most important artifacts and monuments to a new digital ecosystem, preserving them for future generations and making them accessible to the world in ways they’ve never been before. With Enjin behind us, our past global heritage can be shared and live on in our digital future.”
A Bright Future For NFTsThe partnership between Enjin and Virtual Worlds implies that the world of NFTs is poised for disruption. Using photogrammetry and the Unreal Engine to create stunning 3D replicas of historical and contemporary marvels, Virtual World will play a critical role in bridging 3D graphics with NFTs.
With its extensive collection of digitized landmarks, Virtual Worlds will use Enjin to create gamification opportunities for NFTs, launched in multiple phases.
The first phase will witness the beginning of treasure hunts within Virtual Worlds 3D environment. Pre-modeled historical artifacts from Virtual Worlds’ collection of digitized assets, such as chariots, statues, and more, will also be minted as non-fungible tokens.
Using the Enjin platform and smart contracts, Virtual Worlds will integrate the cross-chain NFTs into AR and VR apps and 3D games, allowing NFT owners to use these in virtual environments built on other blockchains.
In addition to the limited-edition set of NFTs, Enjin and Virtual Worlds aims to host virtual art shows, concerts, etc., using NFTs as tickets, enabling a new way of experiencing virtual content.
Maxim Blagov, CEO of Enjin, is highly optimistic about the partnership: “Virtual Worlds is bridging the best of 3D graphics and user experience through NFTs. This is one more demonstration of how NFTs can be used to engage players, create new virtual worlds and economies, and connect all digital ecosystems into a single multiverse.”
“This is also an amazing opportunity to connect the digital with the real world through 1-to-1 replicas,” he concluded.
