The non-fungible tokens contain thousands of limited edition collectibles and VIP options for upcoming concerts.
Pop-star icon Doja Cat jumps into the world of NFTs in the lead up to her latest album. She calls her series, “Planet Doja”. It contains 26,000 limited-edition digital collectibles, along with VIP concert bundles.
The NFT drop goes live next Wednesday at noon. Doja chose OneOf as the host of her NFT auction. The marketplace is music-centric and boasts environmentally friendly NFTs. It launched in May with the help of Quincy Jones.
In a statement, Doja Cat admitted not knowing much about the industry. “I don’t know that much about NFTs. But what I do know is that they can be bad for the environment and cost a fortune. Mine won’t.”
The singer’s NFTs are available for purchase via debit or credit cards in 150 global currencies, or with various cryptocurrencies, including Tezos (XTZ), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC).
Inside Planet DojaThere are multiple tiers to Planet Doja. The first consists of gold-tier flower tokens and platinum-tier elemental tokens. Prices for NFTs in these ranges go from $5-$100. Gold-tier NFT holders have a chance at Doja Cat concert tickets. Platinum-tier for VIP tickets, merch, and other goodies.
The diamond tier has more rare elemental tokens that come with guaranteed VIP tickets. This tier starts at $2,500. Lastly, Doja’s “OneOf” tier gives the lucky bidder a once in a lifetime experience. The winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip for two. The experience includes tickets to an upcoming concert, airfare, a hotel, trips to Doja’s favorite spots and her favorite restaurant.
According to OneOf, the winner of this ultimate NFT gets gold-tier NFT from every future drop by a musical artist on the platform for as long as it exists. In addition, the holders of these digital collectibles are all “founding Kittizens of Planet Doja,” according to an official statement.
However, the NFTs will not contain any new music. Though CEO and co-founder of OneOf, Lin Dai, hopes for a future of hosting music-related NFTs.
