DigiByte (DGB) has recently announced that it will become ASIC-resistant and in turn, it will decentralize its network as well. In the announcement, the platform stated,
“We are proud to announce we are testing the next generation of #blockhcain mining technology. Imagine a mining algorithm that recreates itself every 10 days? No #ASIC could ever be created for. True #Decentralized #ProofOfWork #CyberSecurity.”
The platform also touched upon its interest in developing a predictable and repetitive switch of algorithm mining. Thus far, various cryptocurrency platforms have heartily tried to modify mining and first asking their communities in the process. Even if the algorithm does change, projects such as DigiByte will have to look forward to a new ASIC.
DGB is one of the only small coins that is attempting to grow its outreach program and with that, it aims to achieve widespread adoption. Trezor’s Model T Wallet added the assets, which means that there is more protection. Keep in mind that with this system, it is best to use the coin, rather than to keep it stashed away. The coin is available in the beta wallet, and it will be in stable version soon.
One tweeter thanked the platform for its Trezor adoption, stating,
“Bit thanks to @Trezor. #DigiByte is now available from Trezor Beta Wallet . . . Stable wallet will come in the following weeks!”
The platform’s coin is currently trading at $0.02 and it has been in a downward cycle recently as well. The platform depends on Bittrex and Poloniex for most of its trading and it interested in being added to Binance. The coin also has a 25-hour volume amount over $1 million.
Upcoming for DGB is that it could benefit from the discussions concerning a gathering of the London community that is scheduled to take place in about a week. The platform is hoping that the fan base will increase s well.
The platform’s market price has been lagging though, when compared to BTC. The platform’s trades are in pairs and its position is limited. It also has few fiat on-ramps.
