Little Red Book (XiaohongShu), the Chinese version of Instagram, announced the integration of Conflux Network as a permissionless blockchain allowing its users to showcase on their profile pages NFTs minted on Conflux.
As per the announcement, the integration will allow users to showcase NFTs minted on Conflux in their R-Space digital collection. The integration exposes NFTs to over 200 million active monthly users on Little Red Book, bringing NFT mass adoption a step closer.
Commenting on the integration, Ming Wu, CTO of Conflux, stated:
“Large internet industry players in China have initiated efforts embracing the Web3 transition. Conflux is becoming the major bridge connecting the two worlds and taking a leadership role to expand Web3 technology into traditional industry scenarios.”
Little Red Book has formed various strategic partnerships with blockchains and NFT projects in the last couple of years but never a permissionless network. The first Conflux NFT to be supported by Little Red Book will come from the Mimic Shhans community. The Shhans community is the largest Chinese community base. Following the integration, owners of the original NFT will go through a predefined process to receive the Conflux NFT that they can share on their Little Red Book profile page.
Conflux is a permissionless Layer 1 blockchain that connects decentralized economies across protocols and borders. Conflux, which recently migrated to hybrid PoW/PoS consensus, provides a secure, scalable, and fast blockchain environment. The environment has zero congestion, improved network security, and allows users to enjoy low fees.
Notably, the integration is a major milestone for crypto regulation in China. Conflux is the only regulatory-compliant public blockchain in China, providing a unique advantage for projects seeking to expand into the Asian market. Such a big company integrating a permissionless blockchain further solidifies China’s pro-NFT position. This partnership paves the way for existing Web2 companies to consider blockchain technology. In addition to Little Red Book, Conflux has also partnered up with global brands and government organizations in the region, including McDDonald’s China, the city of Shanghai, and Oreo.
