Charles Schwab, the brokerage service provider, is now further making its way into the cryptocurrency industry with its latest hiring for a “Futures/Forex Compliance Director.”
According to the job description, the Director is for the company’s Futures Compliance Team that supervises Schwab’s futures, forex, and virtual currency business.
The Director will be responsible for establishing a virtual currency compliance program and maintaining understanding and awareness of the futures, forex, and virtual currency business model, product offerings, regulatory environment, and policy infrastructure.
The position further states that the person responsible for this role will also be supporting projects to implement regulatory and risk initiatives related to virtual currency business through engagement with multiple corporate oversight groups, including legal and corporate, along with any mergers and acquisitions.
The candidate for the position is required to have a decade of industry experience with five years of experience in, particularly futures, forex, and virtual currency compliance and regulatory.
In its latest survey, with no mention of crypto, Charles Schwab revealed interesting insight into market trading behavior, showing that 15% of all current US stock market investors first began investing in 2020 who are “not all young and focused on the next hot stock” rather are more ready to invest and plan for their futures.
